Yellow Watchman Goby
Cryptocentrus cinctus
The goby and its shrimp roommate "talk" by touch: the shrimp rests an antenna on the goby, and one flick of the goby's tail sends them both bolting into the burrow.

How to spot
A round frog-like head with bulging eyes on top, a plump body, pale blue dots on the face, and a dark streak above the upper lip. Best clue: it hovers at the mouth of a sandy burrow.
True colors
Usually bright sunny yellow; some are pale whitish-grey. Both are dusted with tiny sky-blue or white speckles on head, front body and fins, with 4 to 5 faint darker bars on the sides.
